Comanche 3 memorial draws several hundred

Late Saturday morning, after the Dunbar-Douglass Alumni Reunion parade finished, Dunbar-Douglass alumni held additional reunion activities while a group of about 200 or more people met on Belknap Street, between Palestine and Commerce, to hold a memorial for “The Comanche 3,” referring to the three Black teenagers who drowned 40 years ago while in the custody of Limestone County law enforcement officers.
