All area veterans are invited to a free lunch at the Palestine VVA/DAV Hall at noon on Thursday, Feb. 17. The lunch will be provided by four Anderson County healthcare providers.

This year’s Heritage Festival will be held at Old Fort Parker! The carnival, games, Texas Ranger display, demonstrations, storytellers, bands, children’s area, food vendors, merchandise vendors, information booths, Longhorn steer, dog agility, and other activities will all be located at the Fort. The festival will be held Memorial Day weekend, with most of the fun taking place on Saturday, May 28th.
Groesbeck FFA hosted and competed in a speaking invitational. A number of students organized a balloon release to honor their friend, Oryanna Matthews, a Mexia High School senior whose life was taken in a car wreck Thursday, Feb. 10.
