We The People of Groesbeck gives first donation as club

We The People of Groesbeck Lion’s Club recently made their first donation to help contribute to Kosse Cares. The group was able to donate a total of $500. We The People of Groesbeck is a like-minded group of individuals whose love for our community and the country brought us together with mutual intention. The group as a whole highly respects the service and sacrifices that are made by the men and women who serve. They meet on the first and third Fridays of the month at 7 p.m.at Kamdan’s Cafe. Linda Kennedy Watson, 2021 Thornton Homecoming Queen

I, Linda Kennedy Watson, was born on Saturday, January 17, 1942, in Marlin Texas at Torbett Hospital to Coleman and Marguerite Kennedy. In those days Saturday was a very busy day in Thornton with all the farmers coming to town for groceries, visiting, and generally catching up on local goings-on. My mother and daddy owned and operated Kennedy Grocery, Feed, and Fertilizer from the 30’s til I closed it in the early 80’s.
