Area hospitals seeks supplies, continue screening and testing

Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia has requested support in the form of medical personal protective equipment due to a supply shortage amid the COVID-19 crisis. Accepted equipment must be unused and includes disposable face, surgical and earloop masks. Respirator masks rate N95 or higher as suitable, in addition to googles and face shields, to protect eyes. Isolation, impervious and other disposable gowns are also being sought. Non-latex, disposable gloves, surgical caps, antimicrobial wipes and quantities of unopened hand sanitizer fill the remainder of the list.

Kids won’t miss Easter during crisis

Living Proof Church of Groesbeck will host a drive-through Easter egg basket giveaway this year to deliver the tasty festive treats to children. The eggs will be distributed at 1207 E. Navasota Street in Groesbeck around the noon hour, in which families will be handed baskets through car windows.

Drive-in Easter Sunday service set in Groesbeck

Area churches in Groesbeck will celebrate Easter together this year, as pastors, reverends and other congregation leaders unite to bring the community in drive-in fashion. A drive-in through Easter Sunday will be presented at Groesbeck High School for those attending in celebration of the rise of Jesus Christ after three days deceased.
