Three businesses in Thornton fell victim to a string of burglaries early Wednesday morning, Dec. 30, 1936. The thieves, described as “skillful burglars,” forced entry through the front doors of Wilson Bros., Clancy’s Grocery, and the John E. Laurence service station, leaving behind significant damage and stolen goods.
