Heart disease is conditions that can affect how our heart works. It could be coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, failure, valve, pericardial, cardiomyopathy or congenital heart disease. Heart disease is the major killer in the U.S., causing 1 in 5 deaths or about 700,000 a year. The bible instructs us, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Eventually we will all pass from this life into eternity by heart failure in some form. Yet God tells us that the reason for our death is sin. God loves us so much that even in our sinful conditions “Christ died for us.” What is the answer of God for this heart disease of sin? “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Notice that our faith must come from the heart. Not the head, feet, hand or physical things in life. Why not invite Jesus into your heart today? He is waiting on you. Don’t keep him waiting!
