The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a citywide garage sale this Saturday, Oct. 2. Garage Sales will be in both the downtown area and also in the various residential areas.
The City of Groesbeck will be providing a citywide cleanup event for the citizens of Groesbeck on Friday and Saturday, October 1 & 2, 2021.
Limestone County commissioners hosted several guests at their meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 28, and made good on plans to refinance bonds, a possibility which has been considered and discussed in depth by the court throughout this calendar year.
New leaders of Limestone Animal Rescue Adoption Shelter (LARAS) House are looking to do big things at the shelter this year, but are currently beyond max capacity for animals in need of adoption. With nearly 100 canines and a few dozen felines, LARAS is hoping to garner some community support and involvement through its annual Spay-ghetti Dinner, which hasn’t been held in recent years due to COVID.
Jonathan Hardin Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution met in the conference room of the Gibbs Memorial Library in Mexia. Madam Regent, Nancy McSwane opened the meeting with the DAR ritual followed with an invocation given by Chaplain, Marsha Black.
