Pipeliners Briefly Jailed in Counterfeit Money Mix-Up
Ralph Flowers and “Preacher” Hale, both pipeliners by trade, found themselves behind bars in Limestone County in September 1931—though only for a short while. The pair was arrested on the evening of Sept. 7 after attempting to spend a $10 bill in Mexia that turned out to be counterfeit.
