Groesbeck and Mexia cross-country teams competed in the Hillsboro Invitational 2025 meet this past weekend. Both junior varsity and varsity boys trekked the 5,000 meter course set up at Wallace Park in Hillsboro, and finishing with good times.
Friday night can’t get here quick enough for area teams, as the lights come back on and the hard-hitting action gets underway with the return of high school football. Scrimmages are over, and it’s time to see who will make it to the playoffs this season, and possibly to the state title game in 2025. Let’s take a look at where our local teams will be playing.
What a weekend it was for area volleyball teams, as the season is starting to go full throttle. Most of the area teams competed in weekend tournaments, and that included the Groesbeck Lady Goats hosting and playing in their own, Groesbeck Back to School Bash! Limestone County commissioners met Tuesday, Aug. 26, and spent most of the meeting discussing election changes for the upcoming Constitutional Amendment Election and the county budget, which must be approved before the end of September.
