Funeral services for Helen Ruth Miller Oakes were held on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Teague. Bro. Benny Mize will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Oakes Cemetery in Limestone County.
Rodney Lee Bennett, Sr., of Thornton, unexpectedly passed away at home on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at age 66.
He passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025 in El Paso, Texas.
Charles Patrick Leo McGilvray, known affectionately to many as Leo McGilvray, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at the age of 73, surrounded by his loving family. A longtime resident of the Groesbeck area in Limestone County, Texas, he most recently called Fair Oaks home.
Patricia Natalie “Patty” Howard, of Jewett, TX, passed away at Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck, TX. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at age 59.
