Thornton Senior News

Things just keep getting better and better at Senior Citizen Center every week as we had twenty-three for lunch on Thursday, May 6th. We had a newcomer there Thursday, Mr. Snuffy Bennett came and seemed to have a great time, and evidently, what I could overhear at the other table he was learning to play bingo for the first time. Others attending were James Lenamond, Doris Lemley, Gayla Lind, Glenda Gambini, Neennah German, Roger and Linda Watson, Elizabeth Neason, Sue Wood, Lorene Stembridge, Bob and Lona Walters, Fonetta Simmons, Earl Mask, Hank and Elle Stanisczewski, Donna Lloyd, Ann Brown, Helen Harvey, Alma McCurry, Janice Bilbrey, and myself. Seems most everyone said they would be back Thursday, May 13th for our lunch of Salsbury Steak, Rice Pilaf, Italian Green Beans, Bread, Jello, Tea/Milk. Who knows maybe it will be like this past week when Neennah, Sue, and I made cornbread to bring because the menu called for crackers and we were having corn beef and cabbage, so we all had the same idea, we needed cornbread, and cornbread we had. Thanks for pitching in ladies. Maybe we’ll have surprised this coming week.
