It is so nice to drive downtown and see the windows of the businesses so artfully decorated for Christmas! The students who worked so hard on this project need to be commended because they did a great job. I watched some of them as they were doing their painting and they were having a fun time doing it. They would smile & wave at passing cars too. A big thank you to the art students who gave their time and talent to share this with our community.

In 2 Corinthians 5:1-5, we read that believers in Christ have a spiritual home in heaven. Someone has described the “Believer’s Life” on earth as “A citizen of two worlds”. We are like the mighty angel described in Revelation 10 who comes down to earth and stands with one foot on the land and the other foot in the sea. Paul said, “We know that as long as we are in this body we are away from the Lord.” (2 Cor. 5:6)

Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23) It seems that many in today’s world and church have a rather hazy idea of what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
