The cross country teams for Groesbeck High and Mexia were at the Heart Of Texas Soccer Complex in Waco Thursday to compete in the Midway Hewitt Kiwanis Invitational.
The Groesbeck Journal has named Goats senior quarterback Trent Platt the August Player of the Month.
Friday night’s opening season football game at Merk Field in Rogers, resembled two titans trading blows for four quarters, but in the end, it would be the visiting Groesbeck Goats coming out on top with the win, 56-42.
Students, staff, parents, First Methodist Church members, and the Ex-Students Association had an aloha good time at the first pep rally of the year, followed by a pancake breakfast for the athletes provided by the First Methodist Church of Groesbeck.
Groesbeck is gearing up for an exciting Homecoming weekend filled with a blend of tradition, celebration, and community spirit.
