Mexia’s defense bent a bit, but it didn’t break in a 40-28 victory at Van on Friday night.
In the team’s return to the field after a several-week absence, the Fairfield Eagles’ varsity football squad picked up a Wednesday night victory in Eustace, 27-6. The extended time away from competition benefitted the Eagles on both ends of the ball, as the team now sits at 1-0 in district play.
The Groesbeck football team has shown that resilience leads to success. And this year, it’s also led the Goats back into the playoffs after a two-year absence.
Sue Allen, Damon Allen’s mother, gives a heart-felt thanks to those who participated in the third annual Allen Family Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Tri-County Golf Course at the Vineyards.
