Groesbeck brush collection site open Saturday
The City of Groesbeck brush collection site will be open Saturday, May 6, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.The site is restricted to city residential and business cleanup efforts. No other debris or materials will be accepted. There is no charge for utilizing the site.
Election Day is Saturday
Early voting in the May 6 General and Special elections ended Tuesday, May l. Those still wishing to vote must make it to the polls on Saturday, May 6 to cast their votes.
Groesbeck resident dies during house fire
One man is dead after an early morning house fire Monday in Groesbeck. Officials responded to a call of a structure fire around 12:34 a.m. Monday, May 1, in the 600 block of North Grayson Street. The initial investigation revealed there were three occupants inside the house at the time of the fire. Two occupants were able to escape prior to the house being fully engulfed. Once fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, the third occupant was found dead.
