Walking and Brain Health

As we head into the new year, it’s a good time to form some new healthy habits. One health fact that everyone should know by now is that walking is good for you. Equipment is minimal – just comfortable shoes. There are no gym fees, no heavy weights, and you can certainly go at your own pace. Listen to music, think, let your dog enjoy the great outdoors with you. Taking into account what the weather may be on any particular day (after all, we live in Texas) it’s a great time to take a walk around the neighborhood!

Charitable Bingo Night News

The Kosse Community Center will host its final night of charitable Bingo at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 17th, with the proceeds supporting the Kosse Heritage Society. 2022 Bingo nights will start on March 25th. ERCOT visits Groesbeck to talk about winter woes

In a special, invitation-only meeting the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) visited with about 50 business and community leaders in our county on Thurs. Dec. 2 at the Groesbeck Convention Center. The event kicked off at 10 a.m. sharp with a brief welcome and introduction from Groesbeck City Administrator/Police Chief, Chris Henson. He addressed everyone invited and after a brief introduction, Henson invited the ERCOT speaker, Brad Jones to the floor.
