It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and the City of Groesbeck has planned a fun night of holiday activities for this Saturday, Dec. 3. The City of Groesbeck Parade of Lights and Holiday Celebration is free to the public and expected to bring a crowd. Last year’s event proved to be better than expected and the hopes for this year are even bigger.
For 33 years, Santa’s Toy Bank has been collecting toys to distribute to Groesbeck Independent School District students, coordinator Mary Rand said.
When Groesbeck native Beth Westhoff retired from education, she took on the role of Executive Director for the Liberty Housing Alliance, Groesbeck Housing Authority to continue to help her community.
The annual Tree of Angels Ceremony is at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Limestone County Courthouse 87th courtroom.
