Local small businesses across the United States have not been immune to the struggles caused by COVID-19. BBB’s Business Impact Report surveyed more than 1,300 accredited businesses, 70% of which believed the outbreak would have a significant negative impact. Their main concerns were keeping up with customer demand and paying employees, with cash flow being the biggest worry.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, McLennan County, and McLennan Community College Continuing Education department is offering a professional food manager certification training course. This program will be offered for $125.00 on July 13th and 20th at the McLennan County Extension office located at 4224 Cobbs Dr., Waco, Texas 76710. The cost includes training, materials, and a national food manager certification examination. The food manager’s certification will be valid anywhere in the state of Texas for five years.

What was thought to be a scholarship donation presentation to Groesbeck graduate, Bryston Ferguson turned into a moment of a lifetime when he was reunited with his siblings and grandmother after the loss of his parents and home in the past years.
The hope is that by the time the Groesbeck Grand Prix Festival of Motoring takes place Sept. 5-6 at Fort Parker State Park, the public will be able to come out in force to enjoy the cars that will be there.
