LMC Foundation Purchases New Phlebotomy Chair with Mary Helen Campbell Donation

Using funds generously donated by Mary Helen Campbell, LMC Foundation has purchased a new Dynamic Diagnostics Ultra Comfort Manual Phlebotomy Chair. The phlebotomy chair provides security and comfort for patients while improving the efficiency of operation. The hydraulic foot pedal provides easy height adjustment. The chair can be manually reclined and has 360° rotation. Staff members are very proud to add this chair to the Laboratory’s state-of-the-art equipment. Contributed photo.

McCoy, 75 years

The 13th Court of Appeals unanimously affirmed Oct. 21 the conviction and 75-year prison sentence of Jerome McCoy. McCoy, who has eight prior felony convictions, was convicted by a Limestone County jury of an Accident Involving Personal Injury in 2019.

Gonzalez, 38 years

Laurencio Gonzalez, aka Laurencio Gonzalez-Toribio, pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, and confessed to three other charges of Indecency with a Child. Gonzalez’s crimes involved sexually assaulting two children under the age of 4 who had been around Gonzalez because of family connections.
