Three Central Texas residents were arrested in Waco as the result of an investigation into an alleged drug trafficking conspiracy, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas Justin R. Simmons announced on May 7. The arrests were made following the execution of search warrants in the Waco area, the Mexia area and Teague.

The Groesbeck Volunteer Fire Department held a “Fill the Helmet” fundraiser on Saturday, May 2. Approximately $3,400 was raised to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the firefighters.
