Members of the Groesbeck ISD FFA Heifer Team recently competed at the Fort Worth Stock Show, earning several top placements. Corbin Grigg and Brynlee Beveridge each placed second in their classes, Kelsie Jones placed third, Dooley Brooks placed seventh, and Aubree Beveridge earned first place in her class along with Reserve Champion in Division 5. After a rainy start on Friday, freezing temperatures and icy precipitation moved into Groesbeck and surrounding parts of Limestone County late Saturday night, Jan. 24, as Winter Storm Fern pushed across Central Texas. Residents woke Sunday morning, Jan. 25, to slick roads, frozen walkways and a heavy coating of ice in many areas.
The Groesbeck Middle School theatre program earned top honors at the UIL One Act Play district competition Thursday, Jan. 15, placing first overall and receiving multiple individual awards.
