Annual Dr. MLK and Black History Program ‘ The Dream Still Matters’
The community is invited to celebrate with the Blackshear Washington Alumni Saturday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. at the Groesbeck Middle School, 410 Elwood Enge Dr. This is an annual event that honors and commemorates both Martin Luther King Jr. and Black History Month.
City Elections
It is not too early to begin thinking about city elections in the area, which will take place Saturday, May 2. The filing window began Wednesday, Jan. 14 and will end Friday, Feb. 13.
Groesbeck ISD FFA Heifer Team Earns Top Honors at Fort Worth Stock Show
Members of the Groesbeck ISD FFA Heifer Team recently competed at the Fort Worth Stock Show, earning several top placements. Corbin Grigg and Brynlee Beveridge each placed second in their classes, Kelsie Jones placed third, Dooley Brooks placed seventh, and Aubree Beveridge earned first place in her class along with Reserve Champion in Division 5.
