DAR Good Citizens for 2025

Jonathan Hardin Chapter met in Mexia on Wednesday Dec. 3, and had the privilege of honoring six area high school graduating seniors as DAR Good Citizens for 2025. These students were chosen by their schools because they display the following qualities: Dependability, Service, Leadership, and Patriotism. Congratulations to each of these students! Julianna Samaniego also received recognition for her outstanding essay describing the characteristics of a good citizen to help to renew and strengthen the democracy achieved by the Patriots of the American Revolution.

Meet the Limestone County Candidates

Stone County Conservatives hosted a “Meet the Candidates” event on Thursday, Feb. 5 at Springfield Hall, and the space was packed. All candidates running for county positions in the March 3 Primary election were in attendance, except for Micah Anderson (incumbent and unopposed for County Commissioner, Pct. 2) and Sheila Winn (running against Jeff Melasky for Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3).
