Friday is Halloween, a holiday that embraces all things spooky, weird, gruesome and fun. It serves as an opportunity for kiddos to shape-shift into a persona or creature that is special to them. Whether store-bought or lovingly handmade, getting dressed up in a costume and knocking on neighborhood doors to exclaim “Trick or Treat!” is an exciting and memorable experience for children.
The annual Groesbeck Fall Holiday Market is Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Convention Center, 106 E. Navasota in Groesbeck.
For the Record Groesbeck City Council met for its regular meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 21, with only Warren Anglin absent. The council took the following action Approved the consent agenda; Approved a sewer tap outside city limits for Allison McCoy, pending annexation; Approved a Resolution to deny Oncor Electric Delivery Company’s proposed increase in revenue and its proposed changes to rates; Approved the Texas Smart Buy membership program; Approved Mobile Data Terminal funding; Approved adjusting the Holiday work schedule; and Tabled the sale of an alleyway.
