In last week’s article, we reported that the Thornton Post Office would close immediately as a precaution for employees and customers. USPS has since clarified that the temporary closure will begin Monday, March 2.

The Limestone County Historical Commission met Feb. 3 at the Limestone County Courthouse to discuss progress on a Mexia Cemetery tour, historic marker applications and upcoming preservation projects.
