Movie Night Draws Crowd at Old Fort Parker

Close to 100 people showed up for Old Fort Parker’s free annual family movie night on Friday, April 17, where they got comfortable on blankets and lawn chairs for a showing of The Sandlot, presented by Limestone County Farm Bureau. Gates opened for the free movie night at 7 p.m., and area residents arrived to set up prime viewing spots all the way leading up to the start of the movie just after 8 p.m., once the sun had set.

Marler Headed to Regionals

Khloie Marler grabbed second place in both the 3200m run and 1600m run at the Area Track Meet in Rockdale last Thursday, April 16, to advance to the Regional Track Meet. Her time in the 3200m run was 13:52.28 and the 1600m run was 5:59.42. Regionals will be held at Huntsville High School May 1-2.
