The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents and visitors to a full slate of patriotic events this Independence Day, culminating in a community fireworks show at dusk. The celebration includes a parade, a pancake breakfast, family- friendly contests, and the annual Miss Firecracker Pageant.
The stage is set for the 2025 Miss Firecracker Pageant, a festive highlight of Groesbeck’s Independence Day celebrations. Presented by the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce, the pageant will take place June 30 and July 1 at the Groesbeck Convention Center, welcoming contestants from ages 0 to 18 to showcase their spirit, style, and confidence.

Unlike the larger Kosse Cemetery located in town, this smaller, lesser-known burial ground rests just south on LCR 711, and it faces an uncertain future unless the community steps in.
