You do this every day, but probably don’t pay much attention to it – you walk. Did you know the word “walk” is descended from the Old English word “wealcan” which means “to roll.”

Well, mid-April is here, and numerous activities will be taking place in the very near future.
There are times when the Church seems to forget its purpose on earth. Times when we have not applied God’s message to the needs of the hour. The sermon of a Chaplain on the eve of the Normandy invasion is a classic example of this failure. The fighting men of his division crowded the chapel. They were hungry for a word that would give meaning to their lives. The Chaplain delivered a rousing sermon on the evils of smoking and drinking to the soldiers, many of whom died within the week. His message gave not bread but a stone! If you had but one day to live and one message to give, what would you tell your friends about the Lord Jesus? I offer the following suggestions.
