LeMarion Miller ran for two touchdowns in the first half and threw two touchdown passes to Trey Holdman in the second half as Mexia got its first win of the season 38-14 at Navasota on Friday night.
The Groesbeck tennis team opened it’s District 18-4A team tennis competition by nearly sweeping all of the matches with the Mexia Blackcats on Thursday, September 10 at the Groesbeck tennis complex.
Crockett’s Lady Bulldog volleyball team turned out to be an easy opponent to begin District 20-3A competition with on Tuesday, September 8 at the Groesbeck Gym. The Groesbeck Lady Goats ran their season record to 9-2 and started district 1-0 as they won 3-0. Crockett was held to 7, 7, and 6 points only in just 44 minutes before the match ended.
