The Groesbeck volleyball team’s season came to an end Tuesday evening when the Lady Goats lost to Lorena in four sets in a bi-district playoff match at Mart.
A last-ditch drive to the end zone wasn’t enough to propel the Goats over the Teague Lions in a 21-17 home loss Friday night.
The Varsity Football team lost a close tough game to Teague Friday night. The Goats will get back on track by traveling to Eustace this Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
Groesbeck traveled to Fairfield on Friday night and came out and put up a fight against the Eagles. The game was tied at halftime 7-7. However, the Eagles came out in the second half with three unanswered touchdowns to defeat the Goats 28-7 to give Groesbeck their first district loss of the season.
