The Thornton Chamber of Commerce and Saguaro Rodeo Company invite the community to a weekend of rodeo excitement, hometown pride, and family fun at the annual Thornton Homecoming Rodeo & Dance, taking place Thursday through Saturday, June 19- 21.
The Thornton community splash pad, located at Thornton City Park, is officially open for the season. However, city officials are making it clear: this amenity is a privilege, not a right. A strict set of rules has been issued, and failure to comply could lead to the facility’s permanent closure.

Where I Grew Up
My story begins on a farm about 4 miles southwest of Thornton. I was a country girl and will always be a country girl.
I was born on February 2, 1948, to R.J. and Era Mae Reynolds in Groesbeck, Texas. I have four siblings, three who have preceded me in death: Della Fae Courtney, Olen Reynolds, and my twin, Kathy Davenport. Elizabeth Neason resides in Thornton, TX, with her family.
