As covered in the March 11 edition of the Journal, “GISD Votes to Continue Mask Policy,” board members considered the viewpoints of campus leaders, mixed results of a staff survey, and response of other schools in the area before choosing to keep all COVID prevention methods in place districtwide until further notice, despite the statewide mask mandate being officially lifted by Governor Abbott on Wednesday, March 10.
