Governor sets emergency special election for Texas Senate District 30

AUSTIN - Aug 23 - Governor Greg Abbott today issued a proclamation setting the emergency special election date for Texas Senate District 30 on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. The emergency special election will fill the seat being vacated by Senator Pat Fallon.
Limestone property values rise, protests nearly double

Property appraisals in Limestone County rose significantly in 2020, and the number of protests and their respective hearings rose by 94.2 percent – from 431 protests in 2019 to 837 in 2020.

We had a blessed day on the 13th with sixteen seniors getting lunches. Those on the receiving end were Joe and Betty Reynolds, Roger and Linda Watson, Hank and Elle Staniszewski, Bill and Elizabeth Neason, Fonetta Simmons, Earl Mask, Neennah German, Ann Brown, Gayla Lind, Donna Lloyd, Janice Bilbrey and myself. We had a good lunch, which included the Breakfast burrito from Sonic that the center is purchasing with money that is being sent due to Covid-19 thru HOTCOG.
