Gov. Abbott, HHSC secure $2.67 billion in federal funding for Texas hospitals

AUSTIN – July 2 - Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) announced that $2.67 billion in federal funding has been approved to support Texas hospitals that provide care for people receiving Medicaid. This is a $1.07 billion increase from the previous State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2020.

Gov. Abbott establishes statewide face covering requirement, limits gatherings

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Thursday afternoon issued an executive order requiring all Texans to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth in public spaces in counties with 20 or more positive COVID-19 cases, with few exceptions.
