Conference attendees take what they learned to community
At least 15 people attended the Not in My City Seminar on human trafficking Saturday, not only learning about human trafficking but then going into the community to distribute posters with information about human trafficking to local businesses so potential victims can read the vital information and get a hotline number they could access to get help.
Ginger (Roberts) Fritz named Study Club Woman of the Year
Groesbeck Study Club Woman of the Year for the current year is Ginger (Roberts) Fritz. She was born in Groesbeck and went from grades 1 through 12 in Groesbeck schools. She went one year to Sam Houston State University. Ginger married Ron Fritz in 1982, and began her long career in county government, starting in Waller County Tax Office then moving back to Groesbeck and transferring to Limestone County Tax Office. Ginger retired several years ago and has kept busy with being the secretary of Groesbeck Study Club, Cynthia Ann Garden Club, and working with Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry. She is a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church and sings in the choir there, as well as singing for innumerable weddings, funerals, and civic occasions over the years.
