Groesbeck LTC residents got a surprise for Veterans Day this year when Elvis came to visit the facility and perform some special old Elvis Presley tunes for the residents on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 11. Groesbeck LTC hosted Elvis Presley impersonator, John Cobb from Chilton to honor those veterans and give them all a special treat to take them back to their younger years. The residents had a chance to enjoy, dance and take photos with ‘The King’ before his departure from the building.
In the days just following the Veteran’s Day holiday, Kosse Cares members and volunteers spent the weekend fundraising and curating care packages for active military members from Limestone County. President Michelle Latray enlisted the help of Kamdan’s Cafe guests on Saturday, Nov. 13 to draw 10 winners for the gun raffle, Kosse Cares’ largest annual fundraiser that covers postage costs of the care packages the group sends every holiday season.
Limestone Medical Center has received a new LIFEPAK 15 V4 Monitor/Defibrillator. This defibrillator was purchased by LMC Foundation with the funds that were generously donated by Mary Helen Campbell. The defibrillator is designed to make high performance easier in challenging situations. Its features and functionalities are designed to empower the nursing staff and medical staff while keeping their focus on the patient. Limestone Medical Center nursing staff is very appreciative of the LMC Foundation and Mrs. Campbell. With the support of our LMC Foundation, Limestone Medical Center is pleased to be able to offer this important enhancement in care to our patients.
The First Methodist Church of Groesbeck will have a Lord’s Acre Event this Saturday in the Methodist Activities Center (MAC Building) which is located at 212 W. Navasota Street in Groesbeck.
