The Kosse Community Center will host several events in November including two nights of its popular Bingo fun. At 6 p.m. on Friday, November 5th, charitable Bingo will be held with the proceeds supporting the Kosse Community Center. The Kosse Heritage Society will host and benefit from the next Bingo night at 6 p.m., Friday, November 19th. For information about Bingo nights, call 254-375-2212. Come and enjoy the fun!

WACO, Texas (Oct. 15, 2021)—Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas, in partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), will host the 10th annual Hiring Red, White & You! (HRWY) Event on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Waco Convention Center located at 100 Washington Ave.

Living Proof Church of Groesbeck had another great success of a fall festival this year with record turnout. “We know we had more than 1500 people over the course of 4 hours,” said Pastor John Carabin, “We ran out of hotdogs and popcorn and we had over 800 hotdogs and 75lbs of kernels.” Children from all over filled the church grounds with vehicles and firetrucks in the parking lot participating in just one part of the day, the trunk-or-treat event. Though fewer cars might be been involved in the trunk-or-treating that did not mean that there wasn’t enough to make the festival a success for all. This was the fifth year that the church hosted the festival and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon. Each year they add more things to the mix. This year included a pumpkin patch, fun games, bounce houses, face painting, rides, free hotdogs, popcorns, s’mores, and a costume contest.
