Three Enge-Washington students earned first place and the sixth-grade sweepstakes award at the 70th Annual Central Texas Science and Engineering Fair in Waco last week.
Stone County Conservatives hosted a “Meet the Candidates” event on Thursday, Feb. 5 at Springfield Hall, and the space was packed. All candidates running for county positions in the March 3 Primary election were in attendance, except for Micah Anderson (incumbent and unopposed for County Commissioner, Pct. 2) and Sheila Winn (running against Jeff Melasky for Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3).
Groesbeck Alumnae Caitlyn Thayer was named on Sam Houston State University’s Fall 2025 President’s List.
The Cynthia Ann Garden Club met Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Groesbeck Woman’s Club for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
